Welcome to Duhok Kebabhaus, a hidden gem in Düsseldorf’s vibrant culinary scene. Nestled on Kolner Strasse, this barbecue restaurant features authentic Levantine cuisine that transports you straight to the heart of the Middle East. Whether you're a local or a traveler, Duhok Kebabhaus offers an inviting atmosphere where the rich aromas of grilling meat and freshly baked bread envelop you from the moment you walk in.

The star of the show here is undoubtedly the kebabs. Customers rave about the juicy chicken kebabs that burst with flavor and are cooked to perfection. One patron, Nafisa Khairullah, described them as “rarely had such juicy chicken kebabs.” In addition, the lamb minced meat kebabs come highly recommended, although one review noted they could be a bit drier than their chicken counterparts. Pair your meal with their freshly made buttermilk, which adds a delightful tang that complements the spiced meats beautifully. And don't overlook their lentil soup, served warm with naan or flatbread and offered on the house, capturing the essence of traditional Middle Eastern hospitality.

The ambiance at Duhok Kebabhaus is plain and simple, stripped of extravagance, allowing the food to take center stage. As Joe, an enthusiastic reviewer, put it, "Do not expect fine dining as it's more a snack type restaurant," yet the welcoming demeanor of the staff and the opportunity to see your meal being cooked fresh right in front of you adds a unique charm to the dining experience.

While visiting, you can't miss their freshly baked bread, a consistent highlight noted by many diners. As Asim Ali praised, “Lovely food especially the bread and Kebab with amazing drink (yogurt).” There's something profoundly comforting about breaking bread and sharing a meal at Duhok Kebabhaus, making it an outstanding choice whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends and family.

For those who appreciate quality without breaking the bank, many diners find the prices reasonable, as reflected in the glowing review from R M: “Very nice Iraqi food, service super friendly and price good.” While not everyone agrees on every aspect of the menu, the overarching sentiment is that Duhok Kebabhaus's flavorful offerings and hospitable service make for an experience worth savoring.

So, if you find yourself in Düsseldorf, take a moment to visit Duhok Kebabhaus. Indulge in an array of barbecue delights that honor the rich culinary traditions of the Levant, and see for yourself why this restaurant has earned a special place in the hearts of its patrons.

I have ordered Number 6 on the menu but honestly it's not worth it. The cost of this is 14 euros and it's taste is normal and even they have more other material like Salad and less eating material. So it's better if you deliver more eating food rather than half salad.

The taste of the food is the same as you would get in the Levantine region in the Middle East ( Iraq, Syria, Jordan …). Very good quality restaurant, food is amazing. Do not expect fine dining as its more a snack type restaurant, but you can see the meat before it gets cooked in front of you and the staff is very welcoming.

Plain simple ambiance but the food was amazing. I have rarely had such juicy chicken kebabs. The lamb minced meat kebabs were a little bit dry. Their buttermilk is freshly made and worth trying. Lentil soup with naan or flatbread was complimentary.
